Hidersine & ESTA UK, launch Violin Technique Videos
Hidersine, in collaboration with ESTA UK are proud to launch a new suite of violin technique video resources for students and teachers.
Presented by representatives from the European String Teachers Association, UK, Nicole Wilson (Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music) and Joanne Green (Musical Specialist at Wells Cathedral School and member of the Scottish Ensemble) lead a comprehensive series of instructional videos designed for both violinists and violin teachers.
As part of the ESTA UK / Hidersine joint commitment to music education, this series forms the first element of a four-instrument video library, offering invaluable insights and violin techniques to help players of all levels hone their skills, and teachers to elevate their instruction too. This builds on the existing Hidersine / ESTA UK suite of videos, which has accumulated over 2.5 million views to date.
Experienced instructors Nicole Wilson and Joanne Green understand the challenges faced by students and teachers alike. These resources cater to beginners embarking on their musical journey, advancing players seeking to refine their technique, and teachers looking for alternative approaches. They cover a wide range of topics, from fundamental techniques to advanced teaching methods, providing clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and actionable tips for immediate application in both instrument practice and teaching.
Alex Mew, Marketing Director, Hidersine comments “We all know how important good music tuition is for the future of our industry and society as a whole, so to work with some of the finest educators and musicians on this ESTA project has been a privilege.”
Philip Aird, ESTA CEO added, “I am thrilled that ESTA UK is developing such high-quality resources in collaboration with Hidersine. This video library will be an invaluable resource to teachers and students, representing a significant investment for the string teaching and playing community.”
